I graduated in 1997 at the Higher Technical Learning Institute for Ceramics in Graz, Austria. I then learnt my throwing skills working alongside many potters throughout Austria, Germany and the UK.
I first started working in the UK at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. My next project was with Tessa Wolfe Murray producing smoke-fired slap built vessels; this was followed by a year at Dartington Pottery. After that I moved to Gwili Pottery where from 2001 I became a partner in the business.
Since 2005 I have been fully pursuing my own work, sharing and learning from potters around the world such as with Woojin Park in South Korea producing inspirational reduction fired stoneware. I am currently producing reduction fired copper reds and celadon glazes on porcelain, fired in a gas kiln I built of Joe Finch's design.
